APPROACH

My approach emphasizes using a student's skills and interests to bolster their areas in need of support. I figure out where the student is at and meet them there with engaging and meaningful work that challenges them but keeps them comfortable. The whole idea is to make their learning theirs so as to make learning and academia something that they feel they can achieve.

I work with all types of learners, but have gravitated towards those for whom the classroom learning hasn't been meeting their needs. I find out what style works best for them and help to incorporate that into their school learning.
