More About Zach

Zach never was the traditional student. He had trouble sitting still in class and would more often than not find himself disengaged from the subject matter at hand. Luckily, his caring parents set him up with schools and tutors that recognized his individuality and unique needs, which has helped him successfully navigate the world.

Zach took his first big step into teaching as an english language teacher in Vietnam in 2013. After a few years of this he decided the next logical step was to pursue his masters in teaching, which he earned through the Stanley Teacher Prep. Program (now Boettcher Teaching Residency) and Adams state university. The program was a good fit for him, as it emphasized teaching using creativity and play based learning. However, upon entering the teaching world Zach quickly realized he was not able to meet all of his students' individual needs in the classroom. He naturally gravitated away from being a school employee and into being a private tutor as a result of his nature for personal care and project based mindset.

Though photographed above in a sleek, salmon buttoned down shirt, Zach is a casual individual who will most likely show up for tutoring in a t shirt (unless cold weather warrants a comfy sweater). He is an easy going individual who's passionate about his work and connects well with kids. Outside of his professional life as a tutor he is likely to be playing guitar on the front stoop, growing vegetables for the local food bank, or cooking a fine meal from scratch with his loving girlfriend.
